About Us

Today, we provide thousands of hours of care each week to quiet a number of people of all ages and needs through our network of inter operational organisational links in various boroughs.

We are going from strength to strength on the basis of outstanding service standards and dedication to each service user, a person-centred approach that is at the heart of how we work at Explora Haven.

Explora Haven’s main office is based in Brent, London.

We are striving to be one of the leading service providers of domiciliary care in and across London, with our team of dedicated and highly skilled care workers who support people to live independently in their own homes by providing hours of support and care each week. We also operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Some people access our services following referrals by local authority social services department, GPs or hospital discharge teams. Our services are also commissioned directly by private individuals needing support and by family members on behalf of others and our aim is to support everyone we work with to enjoy independent living in their own homes for as long as possible.

Julia Mills -Director

Julia Mills, the Director and also Nominated Individual of organization graduate in Health and Social care in 1997 and have extensive work experience in Health care sector.She has worked as health care manager in highly reputable health care organizations across London.She is a general overseer of the organization and ensures that it is managed effectively by implementing appropriate policies, procedures and daily protocols.It is also her duty to provide support, training and supervision to the management team.As the figurehead, she liaises with company accountants’ and solicitors’ regarding all accounting and legal issues and participates in strategic planing and implementation of company decisions.

Alexander Dabu - HR Manager

Alex is responsible for providing support in the various human resources functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling. Alex’s multi-tasking role also includes preparing and submitting invoices, managing the staff payroll and general accounts payable, as well as general book-keeping data entry tasks and duties. He is also responsible for providing advice and assistance to supervisors and care staff and organising training.

Su Goudout - Registered Manager

Su takes joint responsibility with the registered owner as the person-in-charge for the day-to day running of the organisation and is responsible, with her dedicated team, for promoting a caring environment for service users, through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users. Su is also responsible for ensuring that each service user receives care appropriate to their individual needs and for implementing the requirements of the Heath and Social Care Act and the Care Quality Commission.

TINA BROWN - DIGITAL

Tina Brown is the PR/WEB Manager. Tina has made numerous contributions to the operational management of the previous companies she worked for which includes: Thames Water Utilities Ltd, CAPITA PLC, Prudential, Yell Adworks, SmartSource Water, CTIL (Telefonica and Vodafone) Three UK, HP CDS and more.

Tina works closely with and reports to the Director.

Ruby Mortey - Care Manager

Ruby has extensive experience in the health care sector and ensures that each service user receives appropriate care to their individual needs. She’s responsible for the care coordinators daily schedules to ensure that the needs of our service users and care staff are met, to promote a caring environment through high standards of professional practice. She assists the registered manager implement the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008/2014.

lin Tan - Senior Care Coordinator

It is the responsibility of the care coordinator to organise the day-to-day running of the service provision by managing the field team and carers by scheduling work rotas, producing detailed work schedules for the care workers, monitoring the service in the field through spot supervision to ensure that it meets the quality assurance objectives of the organisation and keep management informed of the outcomes and issues identified. Lin is the senior care coordinator for the Brent catchment area.

Olu Martins - Care Coordinator

It is the responsibility of the care coordinator to organise the day-to-day running of the service provision by managing the field team and carers by scheduling work rotas, producing detailed work schedules for the care workers, monitoring the service in the field through spot supervision to ensure that it meets the quality assurance objectives of the organisation and keep management informed of the outcomes and issues identified. Olu is a care coordinator for the Brent catchment area.

Carol Magbanua - Care Review Officer

Carol is normally the first person within the company that service users meet as she is responsible for conducting the initial assessment with the service user and relevant family members in their home, and is thereafter responsible for handing over to the appropriate care coordinators. She is also responsible for conducting service user care reviews and monitoring standards when on visits. Carol plays a key and significant role in our inhouse induction programme in terms of the role of the carer.

Valerie Strachan Pastoral - Care Officer

Explora Haven aim to promote a positive, caring environment that focuses on and addresses the needs of each service user and staff. We recognise the value and worth of those in our care and seek to uphold standards of the highest quality; which reinforce the dignity and respect of the individual in an atmosphere which is warm, caring, stimulating, accepting and free from all forms of prejudice and discrimination while ensuring no effort is spared to achieve a true partnership between staff, service users and advocates and authorities, which promote the general wellbeing of all staff and service users so they may achieve their full potential in living comfortably within their communities. Valerie also assists the care team in all aspects of their role and is accessible to all members of the care staff and plays an active key role in our inhouse induction training programme and monitor quality assurance.
